Pagewren Terms of Use

Last updated: October 25, 2026

These terms govern your use of Pagewren (“the app”) and Pagewren Pro. By using the app or buying Pro, you agree to them. Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app; these terms add the details specific to Pagewren.

Your book lives on your iPhone. Pagewren has no account, and your book never reaches a server of ours, so we cannot recover a book that is lost with a device. Keep iCloud Backup on for your iPhone, or use Settings › Your Data › Export My Data from time to time and keep the file somewhere safe.

1. What the app does

Pagewren turns the photos and notes you add about your child into the pages of a book, organised into chapters by month or by your child’s age, with milestones, monthly photos and PDF export. It is a keepsake, not a medical, health or child-development tool: milestones in the app are prompts for memories, not an assessment of how your child is developing. Talk to your pediatrician about any question about your child’s health or development.

2. Your licence

You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under the Usage Rules of the App Store Terms of Service. You may not resell or rent out the app, reverse engineer it, or copy its themes, page designs or artwork for use outside the app.

3. Free features

Without a purchase you can create, edit and read unlimited photo and text memories; read your book with its contents, milestones and monthly photos; add photos in bulk; export your book as a PDF in the Classic theme; back up, restore and export all of your data; and preview the Pro themes. What you have saved is never locked behind a purchase.

4. Pagewren Pro

Pagewren Pro unlocks the Pro book themes (currently Linen and Scrapbook), custom paper and ink colours, PDF export in Pro themes, and Pro themes added in later versions.

Pro is sold in three forms with identical benefits, all billed through your Apple Account:

  • Lifetime — a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel; it unlocks Pro for as long as the app is available on your Apple Account.
  • Yearly — an auto-renewing subscription with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. Cancel during the trial and you are not charged; if you do not cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it converts to a paid yearly subscription. Trial eligibility is decided by the App Store.
  • Monthly — an auto-renewing subscription with no free trial.

A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings.

All three forms support Family Sharing: if you share purchases with your family through Apple, family members can use Pro on their own devices. Each person’s book stays on their own device.

Prices, trials, taxes and availability vary by region, and the price that applies to you is shown on the purchase screen before you confirm. After reinstalling or switching device, Settings › Pro › Restore Purchases reconnects an existing purchase to the same Apple Account.

If a subscription ends or a purchase is refunded, your book returns to the Classic theme with all of its memories and photos intact, and the app remembers your Pro theme in case you subscribe again. PDFs you already exported are yours to keep.

5. Your content

The photos, captions and details you add are yours, and you are responsible for having the right to use them. They are stored on your device (and in your own iCloud if you turn on iCloud Sync) and are not sent to us, and we claim no rights in them. You decide whether to share a page, a PDF or a backup, and with whom. How the app handles data is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Availability

The app is provided as is. Features may change, be interrupted or be discontinued between versions. Purchases are processed by Apple and depend on the App Store being reachable.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost data or for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Your iPhone holds the only copy of your book unless you back it up, so keep a backup as described above.

8. Apple

Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support for the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Purchases made through the App Store are subject to Apple’s purchase, refund and subscription rules; request refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated as the app changes. The current version is always the one published at this address.
