Your book and your data

Where is my book stored?

On your iPhone. Pagewren has no account, and your book never reaches a server of ours, so your photos and words never leave your device unless you share or export them, or turn on iCloud Sync, which keeps them in your own private iCloud. If iCloud Backup is on, your book is included in your iPhone’s backup; if iCloud Backup and iCloud Sync are both off, it exists only on this iPhone.

How do I move my book to a new iPhone?

Restoring your new iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup brings Pagewren’s data with it. You can also go to Settings › Your Data › Export My Data on the old iPhone, save the ZIP file to Files, iCloud Drive or AirDrop it across, then use Import Backup on the new iPhone.

Does my book sync between devices?

Yes, with Pagewren Pro. Turn on iCloud Sync in Settings, and your books appear on all your devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Your data goes to your own private iCloud; we cannot see it. Without Pro, use Export My Data and Import Backup to copy a book from one iPhone to another.

How do I delete my data?

Open a memory and choose Delete to remove it, or use Settings › Your Data › Delete Local Data to remove the whole book from this iPhone. Deleting the app also removes it from this device. We hold no copy, so unless iCloud Sync was on, this cannot be undone — export a backup first if you might want it again.

Making the book

How do I add photos I already have?

Touch and hold the + button and choose Add from Photos, then pick as many photos as you like; Pagewren places each one on the date it was taken. You pick photos with the iOS photo picker, so the app never needs access to your whole library.

How do I export a PDF?

Tap the share button at the top of your book to open Export PDF. Choose which pages to include, tap Create PDF, then share or save the file. Free books export in the Classic theme; Pro books export in the theme you are using.

Pagewren Pro

How do I restore my purchase?

Sign in to the App Store with the Apple Account you bought Pro with, then go to Settings › Pro › Restore Purchases. If Pro was shared with you through Family Sharing, make sure purchase sharing is on for your family.

How do I cancel a subscription or free trial?

On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Pagewren. You can also open your App Store subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or the current period ends to avoid the next charge. Lifetime is a one-time purchase, so there is nothing to cancel.

What happens to my book if Pro ends?

Nothing is lost. Your book returns to the Classic theme with every memory and photo intact, and your Pro theme comes back if you subscribe again.

How do I get a refund?

Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Privacy and terms

Your book stays on your device, and in your own iCloud if you turn on iCloud Sync. The app sends only anonymous usage analytics that never include your child’s name, birthday, photos or anything you write. Read the full Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
