Pagewren Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 25, 2026
Pagewren is a baby memory book for iPhone: you add photos and a few words, and the app lays them out as the pages of a book. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.
In short. Your photos, captions and your child’s details stay on your iPhone, and in your own private iCloud if you turn on iCloud Sync. Pagewren has no account, and your book never reaches a server of ours. The only information that leaves your device is app analytics through Google Analytics for Firebase, which never includes your child’s name, birthday, photos or anything you write, is not linked to your identity, and is not used for tracking or advertising. Separately, Apple tells us when Pagewren Pro is bought, renewed, cancelled or refunded, as described under Purchases.
Information In Your Book
Pagewren stores what you create: the photos you add, the captions and titles you write, the date of each memory, the milestones you record, your child’s nickname, their birthday if you add it (or that they are not born yet), the book’s title, cover photo and theme, your reminder settings, and your Pro purchase status.
This content is kept on your iPhone, in the app’s private storage. Pagewren does not require an account or a sign-in, iCloud Sync (Pro) stays off unless you turn it on, and the developer does not operate a server that receives your book. We cannot see your book.
Photos
You choose photos with the iOS photo picker, so Pagewren sees only the photos you pick and never asks for access to your whole photo library. A copy of each chosen photo is saved inside the app together with its original metadata, and the app reads the date the photo was taken to place it in the book.
When you use Share Page, Pagewren draws a fresh image of the page, so the original photo’s metadata, such as where it was taken, is not included. If you save a shared page to your photo library, iOS asks for permission to add photos; the app uses it only to save the images you choose to save.
Analytics
Pagewren uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used — for example how many people finish setting up their book, open the Pro screen, start a trial, export a PDF or make a backup — so we can improve it. Firebase may receive:
- An app-instance identifier that Firebase generates for this installation of the app. It is not your Apple advertising identifier, and it changes if you delete and reinstall the app.
- A coarse location, such as your country or city, which Google derives from the network address of the request. Pagewren never collects your precise location.
- Purchase events: which Pro plan was shown, selected, purchased, trialled or restored, with its price and currency.
- App interactions: which onboarding and Pro screens were shown, and events such as creating your first memory or exporting a PDF or backup, with simple details like the theme used, a count range (for example “10–24 photos”), the age range you pick during setup (for example “under one”) and which month’s chapter a month photo was added to.
Firebase also records the standard technical details that accompany each event, such as device model, iOS version, app version and language.
Analytics never includes your child’s name or nickname, their birthday, your photos, your captions or anything else you type, file names, or health information. We do not set a Firebase user ID, so analytics data is not linked to your identity.
Pagewren contains no advertising. It does not use the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites, which is why it never shows the App Tracking Transparency prompt. Google’s ad personalization signals are switched off, and we do not share analytics data with advertising networks. We do not sell personal information.
How Information Is Used
The contents of your book are used only on your device to provide the app’s features: laying out and showing your book, exporting the PDFs and backups you ask for, sending the reminders you turn on, and unlocking Pro features you buy. Analytics is used only to understand and improve the app.
Reminders
If you turn on the weekly reminder or month-birthday reminders, the app asks for permission to send notifications. Reminders are scheduled locally on your iPhone; their text, which can include your child’s nickname, never leaves your device. You can switch reminders off in the app or change the permission in iOS Settings.
Storage, Backups And Sharing
Your book is stored on this iPhone. If iCloud Backup is on, the app’s data is included in your iPhone’s backup, which Apple stores under your Apple Account under Apple’s privacy policy; the developer has no access to it. If iCloud Backup and iCloud Sync are both off, your book exists only on this iPhone.
iCloud Sync is an optional Pagewren Pro feature and is off until you turn it on in Settings. When it is on, your books, photos and captions are also stored in the private iCloud database of your own Apple Account, so they appear on your other devices signed in to that account. Apple stores this data under Apple’s privacy policy; the developer has no access to it. Turning iCloud Sync off stops syncing; the book stays on your device.
Export My Data creates a ZIP backup of your memories, settings and original photos, and Export PDF creates a PDF of your book. Both are created on your device and go only where you send them with the iOS share sheet — for example Files, AirDrop or Mail. The original photos in a backup keep their metadata, which can include where they were taken, so store backups somewhere you trust.
Purchases
Pagewren Pro is sold through Apple In-App Purchase as a one-time Lifetime purchase, a yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers, or a monthly subscription. All three support Family Sharing. Apple processes the payment; the app receives only the product and entitlement status, not your name, Apple Account or payment details, and does not learn who is in your Family Sharing group. Purchase events are recorded in analytics as described above. In addition, Apple sends us an App Store Server Notification when Pro is bought, renewed, cancelled, refunded or fails to renew. It contains the product, the transaction identifiers and dates, the price and currency, the App Store country and the renewal status — not your name, Apple Account or payment details, and nothing from your book. We store these records in Google Cloud Firestore to count revenue, renewals and refunds. Subscriptions are managed in your Apple Account settings.
Children’s Privacy
Pagewren is made for parents and other adult caregivers to keep memories of a child. It is not directed to children, it is not in the App Store’s Kids category, and it is not designed for children to use.
The details you record about your child — nickname, birthday, photos and captions — stay on your device (and in your own iCloud, if you turn on iCloud Sync) and are never sent to us or included in analytics. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example by email, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Choices
- Edit or delete any memory at any time.
- Settings › Your Data › Delete Local Data removes your book from this iPhone, and deleting the app does the same. Copies already in an iPhone backup or in a file you exported stay there until you delete them. If iCloud Sync is on, deleting a memory in the app also deletes it from your iCloud.
- Export My Data gives you your own complete copy, and Import Backup restores it.
- Notification permission can be changed at any time in iOS Settings.
Google keeps analytics data under the retention settings of our Firebase project and its own deletion practices. For a privacy or deletion request, email the address below. Because analytics data is not linked to your identity and we set no user ID, we may not be able to find records that belong to a specific person.
Service Providers
Apple provides the App Store, In-App Purchase, notifications, iCloud Backup and iCloud Sync. Google provides Google Analytics for Firebase and Cloud Firestore, where purchase notifications are stored. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy practices. This Website
This policy is published on pagewrenbaby.com, the Pagewren website. The website uses Google Analytics for Firebase to measure page visits, navigation, button clicks, tool interactions, scroll depth and App Store link views and clicks. Google Analytics uses cookies and browser identifiers to distinguish visits and sessions, and processes technical data such as page paths, referring sites, campaign tags, country, browser and device type. We disable Google signals and advertising personalization. Our website events do not include the names, dates, notes or photos you put into the milestone card maker, email addresses, or arbitrary URL query strings; photos you add to the card maker are drawn in your browser and never uploaded. A click to the App Store records an outbound click, not an installation or purchase. These website statistics are separate from analytics inside the app. Learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can block Google Analytics using your browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. The latest version is always the one published at this address, which is the Privacy Policy URL listed on the App Store.
