- Same place, same time of day. A blanket on the floor by the same window makes twelve photos look like one set.
- Daylight, no flash. Soft window light is kinder to a baby’s skin and eyes than the flash.
- Card next to the baby, not on top. Shoot from above so the card and the baby are both flat and sharp.
- One thing that stays. The same soft toy in every photo shows how fast they grow.
Print the whole set
Print all 13 monthly cards puts Hello world, 1 to 11 months and 1 year on your paper, four cards to a page. To keep a file, choose Save as PDF as the printer (on a Mac, open the PDF menu in the print dialog and choose Save as PDF). Heavier paper or card stock holds up better next to a blanket. The printed set uses the name and background you picked; the photo stays only on the card you save.
From cards to a baby memory book
